Week 8 Updates
The Good News: 2/3 of the Program is now complete! The Bad News: 1/3 of the Program remains to be conquered!
As is the tendency with this group, you have set yet another Largest Loser record. Anthony has been the first person to get promoted to track 2 despite losing over 3 pounds. In an odd series of events, team Toni saw a 3 pound losses from Nell and Raquel and a 0.6# gain from Mary Kay. The team percentage was 1.04%. With Darrel on pass and Julie L receiving the initial promotion, that left Anthony as the only weigh in for the team that week. Despite losing the most weight this week with 3.4 pounds, his percentage of weight loss was 1.01% which was 0.03% lower than the opposing team.
Overall, the group is down 259 pounds for an average weight loss of 7.27% which is fantastic for 8 weeks. We have 5 participants who have already broken the 20 pound mark: Darrell, Nell, Raquel, Lisa, and Anthony.
What’s in store for the last 28 days:
1) Continue logging your food: Now is not the time to get overly confident and say “I know what to do I’m just going to keep track in my head.” We’ve seen it. Don’t do it. Log your food for 4 more weeks.
2) Bring it on: No more groans and moans when you walk into your group workouts. Now is the time when you should show up ready to roll and kick some butt.
3) Bump it up: We want to see a sprint to the finish. The last 4 weeks is when many participants add a 30 minute cardio workout to their 6x/wk routine. Caution on this however, if you are going to do 2-a-days make certain that you stay within your zone 2 heart rate for your bonus workouts and don’t overdo it.
4) Focus on the Future: As you are making your sprint to the finish, keep in mind what you’re going to do once you hit the “finish line.” Spend the next 4 weeks pondering the question “how do I transition the changes I’ve made during the program into my normal life?”
