Our Largest Loser Fitness Challenge is a 12-week medically supervised health and fitness enhancement program. The program is designed for people looking to lose excess body weight. There are seven Largest Loser programs or “cycles” held each calendar year.
Through the program, participants learn how to control their eating and discover the joy and new-found energy that comes with exercising at total capacity. First Health Associates’ team of dietitians, behavioral counselors, medical doctors, exercise physiologists and certified personal trainers possess the knowledge and skills to help create and new and better you!
Program Details:
- Three Initial Assessments (Medical, Fitness and Behavioral)
- Lab Testing Before and After the Program
- Weekly Group Education Classes (Topics include Nutrition, Lifestyle Therapy and Wellness)
- Three Workouts per Week
- 12 One-On-One Personal Training Sessions
- 24 Group Exercise Classes
- Five One-On-One Sessions with a Registered Dietitian (scheduled throughout the program)
In addition to weekly weigh-ins, First Health Associates carefully monitors participants’ cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, heart rate and body fat composition. All are subject to change upon completion of the program. - Post Fitness Evaluation
Results:
The average Largest Loser participant has...
• Lost 10.3 percent of their individual body weight and 4 inches around the waist.
• Lowered their cholesterol by 9 percent and triglycerides by 22 percent
• Experienced significant drops in blood pressure and improved blood sugar control
