Finally! Someone beat Dr. Nick’s Triple Threat team. Phat to Fat posted a team weight loss of 12# for a 1.1% team weight loss and ousted Triple Threat’s 10# (0.95%). Dr. Gruss came off his pass week with a bang, posting a 7.2# weight loss over the past 2 weeks. Over half of the competitors have hit double digit weight loss thus far and the group has posted a total of 216 pounds through 4 weeks!
Training Report
Fat to Phat had a “burn week” according to Tom. They boxed, ran, cycled, performed plyometric exercises (jump training), then boxed some more. “We put a lot of emphasis on strength training, but this week was simply a cardio blast”
Big to Buff incorporated some more of Courtney’s creativity again this week. Ever get bored on the stair mill? She designed a complete circuit appropriately named “stairway to heaven.” She reports that “anybody can spend an hour on the treadmill. To really break through to the next level we need to continually shake things up. ‘If you want what you’ve never had, you have to do what you’ve never done.’”
Triple Threat: Our trainers are trying to pick Dr. Nick’s brain on his workout plans but he’s keeping it under wraps. When they try t get some insight from his team, Carol puts it best by saying “What did Dr. Nick having us do this week? What didn’t he have us do this week would be a better question!”
Looking Forward
You’ve made it a third of the way. The bad news? You only have 8 weeks left—let’s make the best of it!
Week 5 issues in the start of the “acceleration phase” which is appropriate since….
THIS WEEK WILL BE A DOUBLE ELIMINATION!!
