Nick Nowicki, DC NickFull_1.jpg
As a Certified Personal Trainer, Doctor of Chiropractic, and Triathlete, Nick brings a dynamic approach to fitness and weight loss from many angles of expertise.

Philosophy:  “No excuses:  go hard or go home!"  He tries to key in on what motivates each person individually and shows them how to take their exercise and lifestyle to a new level.

Personal Fitness:  Nick has cardio in his blood.  He ran cross country in high school and has recently raced at distances from 5K's all the way up to an extraordinary 50-miler.  His current training regimen for the Ironman Triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) consists of 14-20 hours of biking, swimming, running, and weight training per week!

Before the Largest Loser:  He's been helping people reach their health goals through chiropractic care as well as 1-on-1 personal training.  He is excited to be able to bring the dynamics of a group challenge into a comprehensive weight loss program.

Tom Jordan RD, LDN
A Certified Personal Trainer by the American Counsel of Exercise (ACE), Tom doubles as a Registered Dietitian and chairs the Nutrition Department at First Health.

Philosophy: “Movement burns calories!”  Expect to be doing functional moves with Tom that challenge not only your muscles-but also your heart, lungs, and balance.  Most importantly, he feels training should be fun.  “Regardless of your goal, the most effective exercise is the type you enjoy doing.”

Personal
Fitness:  Tom played basketball in college, “so I used to carry a lot more lean muscle.  The NBA didn’t want me though, so I turned to marathon running and trimmed down a bit.”  He has completed seven marathons with a personal best time of 2:55:56.  “I’ve gotten faster each year and I have no plans of slowing down any time soon.”

Before the Largest Loser:
Tom grew up around farms, played football and collegiate basketball, served a few years in the Army, received his BS degree in dietetics and has recently completed a research study on the effects of amino acid supplementation on endurance athletes for his Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition. He’s now a dedicated marathon runner.  So he tells his team members—“be ready for just about anything!!”

Courtney DayCourtney_Web_Site_Meet_Trai.jpg, MS
With a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and hospital experience in cardiac and pulmonary rehab, Courtney has the back ground to enhance not only athletic performance but overall system function and personal endurance as well.

Philosophy: "Limitations exist only within the mind!"  Courtney's role model is Jillian on the TV Show the Biggest Loser, so be prepared for leaving our facility knowing full well that you've just finished the work-out of your life. "Personal satisfaction and progression come with knowing your limits and pushing just beyond. The job of a good trainer is to recognize your personal limitation and give you a little shove that will help you reach new heights in your athletic endeavors."

Personal Fitness: After sustaining an injury that shortened her recent marathon preparation, she switched to training on an elliptical machine. The result? She became so addicted to elliptical machines that she is now fondly referred to as the "Elliptical Queen". Come-on a female trainer? Be careful men, she has been known to challenge her male clients in a contest of One-Armed-Push-Ups!

Before the Largest Loser: Courtney was both a high school and college athlete. Her loves are volleyball, softball and rugby. She is currently on staff at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where she specializes in pre and post-surgical cardiac rehabilitation.
