For now, I try to keep the exercise routine simple when i'm on my own. I rely on the Trainer sessions for the variety. To be honest, the pace is so quick during our sessions i don't remember half the stuff we did. On the days when i'm my own, I typically stick to the treadmill, bike or stairs at the gym or if the weather is nice like today, I'll do the same outside. What I've learned is to monitor my HR during my routine and keep it at 135 and a max of 150 for a 30-45 min workout. More complicated than that, I'd probably get all stressed out and end up in front of the TV. Go PHAT 2 FIT Team!!!

Seems like everyone has been doing excellent on their own. You all seem to be monitoring your heart rate so you're burning maximum calories with minimum stress on your body.

I also have been sticking to the treadmill on my exercise at home. I aim to burn 400 calories if possible. Since I have pain in my right foot, I sometimes need to stop sooner.

I try to do some type of exercise everyday. I do better if I have a group class though. It means there is a time and place I have to be, so I am less likely to skip class. If no class and I'm doing it on my own it is easy to talk myself out of going. Jazzercize on Monday, Thursday....Largest Losse group and individual on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday....Spinning class on Saturday. Enough!!!!

have you tried calorie-counting? My mom is a dbieitac and needs to loose major pounds... her Dr. suggested calorie-counting (it's been three months and she has lost 40 pounds!!)... search calorie counters on google (or yahoo) and you can type in a food... and it will give you the amount of calories in that food! I would suggest cutting your calorie intake down to a maximum of 1500 calories per day... it isn't easy... but tell yourself 'this is a lifestyle choice'. also record your calories on a notebook or computer... it will help you!GOOD LUCK! Between exercise and caeolirs: they play hand in hand. If you eat, let's say, 2000 caeolirs and burn only a 1000 you will not lose weight.Between DIET and exercise (meaning what and when you eat vs. exercise): Diet. Diet is the most important factor in weight loss.References :

The exercise component of weight management is really similar to the nutrition component. PLAN AHEAD! Trying to figure out what you're going to do for your evening exercise, while sitting at work at 4:30, is not a great idea. That is similar to figuring out what's for dinner while you're at the grocery store. When you can plan your means ahead, you are much more likely to stick too it; the same can be said for workouts. Remember to keep in mind what is a realistic exercise for YOU. Prevent injuries! Stretch! Use good body-mechanics! Develop your ability to exercise harder - don't just start on level 10 - start lower and work your way up carefully. Remember everybody - weight gain does not take place overnight. . . and weight LOSS doesn't either.
